Pre-School, Pre-K, Kindergarten Combination Classes :

A fun way for your child to begin his/her education process, students develop dance fundamentals in addition to listening skills, creativity, musicality, coordination, motor skills, and socialization. Classes include tap, ballet, creative movement, props, songs, and games.

Ballet technique and terminology is introduced as these classes help students develop body tone, grace, balance, and agility. Ballet provides the necessary technique and discipline to excel in all dance forms! Pointe classes are offered to eligible students.

Many styles are presented as students are taught to master footwork, improve memorization, refine coordination, and build confidence as they study tap terminology and technique. Tap classes are upbeat and a lot of fun!

Jazz/Hip Hop:

Students learn jazz terminology and technique while developing body control, flexibility, style, and improvisation. Jazz classes incorporate different styles including traditional, musical comedy, and the ever-so-popular hip-hop. Jazz classes are always the most up-to-date form of dance to study because jazz style is constantly changing!

Lyrical classes combine interpretive Ballet, Jazz, and Modern movements and set them to the lyrics/mood of popular music. Students are introduced to the complex subject of choreography through fun tasks that explore different dance concepts while focusing on lyrical technique. A great class for improving and understanding performance and choreography!

Classes incorporate floor acrobatics, combinations, and choreography. Students develop strength and increase flexibility while learning to maintain body control, and properly execute tumbling skills. These classes offer great exercises for students to stay fit!

Please see our schedule page for days, level, and times.

Student placement in classes is determined by dance experience, age, development, ability, and maturity

Teachers reserve the right to transfer students when necessary.

Class sizes remain small for the betterment of each dancer.

Space is limited so register early!

All students are required to wear appropriate dance attire (footwear, leotards, and tights). The dress code is strictly enforced! Attire for each grade level will be explained at registration and must be purchased at the studio to ensure uniformity and neatness! Students should dress at home and be ready to dance 10 minutes before class time. All students should have a bag for their dance equipment and student names should appear on all belongings.

There will be scheduled "watching weeks" for visitors to view students' progress in class at the studio. There will be one end of season performance (date/location to be announced). An optional perfomance, it will require a participation fee and a costume fee (to be determined). Additional details available at registration. Older students are invited to perform at Great Adventure's DanceFest when available. Workshops are offered through affiliation with Associated Dance Teachers of NJ and Dance Educators of America throughout the year, offering students the opportuntiy to take class with master instructors from all over the world.
